We wish you a...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

As I have said in my previous Christmas posts this is by far my favorite holiday and this Christmas holds an even more special place in my heart because it is Ethan's FIRST Christmas. With a growing family we are beginning to create our own traditions and memories.

The first of these memories is to wish you a merry Christmas from afar! Yep, that's right! We didn't make the trip back to Utah for the holidays. We opted to stay in Connecticut and celebrate with just us three and the puppies.

Another memory is our Christmas tree. Spencer and I have NEVER had a Christmas tree of our own since being married. We borrowed Brandon's last year because we were celebrating Christmas at our house to announce the coming of Ethan and Spencer's acceptance to school. So this year one of Spencer's classmates' offered us a live tree from her family tree nursery. It was such an amazing experience. We drove up to her parent's home where they served us a delicious lunch after taking us and two other classmates' families out on the tractor to pick our trees. Once we found the tree that we wanted Candice's (the generous classmate) father chopped the trees down. After lunch, all of the husband went out to the cars with Candice's father and tied the trees to the top of the cars for the ride home.

Among other traditions and memories Spencer cooked an amazing Christmas dinner and even with the distance Ethan was anything but short of being spoiled. Thank you to everyone that helped in blessing Ethan and making this Christmas a Christmas for the books full of amazing memories.
